Marijuana Goes Mainstream

Georgia enacted the “Controlled Substance Therapeutic Research Act” in 1980 in order to research the effects of cannabis on glaucoma and cancer therapy.  The program at Emory University lasted only three years before it was halted for political reasons. The research documents are said to have been destroyed. But thanks to a dedicated supporter (Thank you Tanya) a few documents were uncovered revealing the nature of the research.
